Meet Chris

My career began as a Mechanical Engineer. Even though the money was great and the work interesting, I began to get anxious about my future.   I just couldn’t imagine working for someone else for the rest of my life. I felt trapped by my corporate career – I made enough money to be comfortable but hated commuting, worrying about vacation time, fighting for raises and feeling taken for granted.

I never thought I could become an successful entrepreneur. I thought you had to have a specific skill or some really unique offering in order to have any chance at making it, not to mention a lot of capital to launch any worthy venture.

Looking for a change, I moved to Maine to start my life over again. Funny thing, my salary in Maine went way down and my cost of living went way up. Any security I felt from a corporate job was gone. I had to make a change, to take a leap but I was scared to death – by that time I had a mortgage and a car payment and didn’t want to touch my retirement funds.  I finally had to get real with myself, it was time to take a leap of faith and take myself seriously as an entrepreneur and business owner.  For years I had been playing around with my business venture purely as a hobby. When I finally committed to working as hard for myself as I had always worked for others, success followed. With that focus & determination and pioneering spirit, I was able to replace my corporate income in my first year.  Since that time I’ve never looked back. I’ve got the lifestyle of my dreams and in just keeps getting better especially now that we’ve been able to achieve our goal of bringing, my wonderful husband, Mark, home from his military career to join me in our business.

Meet Mark

I joined the military fresh out of college and thought I had found a home for life. The military suited my personality and I loved the sense of service that it fulfilled in me. My intention was to be career military but due to a reduction in forces, I had to make a hard choice to leave my active duty career in the US Air Force. After a few years of being beaten down by the politics of the corporate world, I missed the uniform and joined full-time in the Maine Air National Guard. I had a very honorable and successful career and was on track to achieve my goal of full-bird Colonel. A few years ago, I started to realize that I had accomplished everything I could or wanted to accomplish.  I had reached my limit of contribution. In short, I was burned out. I started thinking about what else I could do – saw many friends and colleagues attempt franchises and other expensive ventures only to be hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt and shackled to their businesses.

Since my entire military career was controlled – I never felt like I had time freedom – that’s what I was craving, the freedom to do what I wanted to do on my terms and on my timeline, to vacation at will and to develop an income that would support my lifestyle without working for someone else or, more importantly, without supervising anyone else ever again. I started to see Chris’s success and realized this is something we could do together.

Our Story

After the first full year in our business, Chris replaced her corporate income and we decided we needed to put a plan together to bring Mark home from his career.  On Dec 2009, we accomplished our goal and Mark retired on his first date of eligibility.  We are now enjoying time & lifestyle freedom.  We work, play, travel and rest at our leisure.  It is our desire to help others do the same.  We know exactly what if feels like to be in a career, job or business that’s squeezing the life out of you and for what, a paycheck and a few weeks of vacation time if you’re lucky?  Life is too short and too precious to settle.  Whatever your dreams and desires, you can achieve them.  It’s  a privilege and honor to help you achieve the life & lifestyle that can be a reality for you starting today.
